As a welcome break from the Air Campaign planning exercise, joint D Division held a dinner night in the Officer's Mess. While a little more stiff than a british dinner night, we had a good time - despite the small glasses of wine!
Following a busy week and working until 2100 hrs on a Saturday night (!) we stayed locally on Sunday and bushwhacked through the local tea plantation to the the top of our nearest hill. It gave us some great views over the surrounding area and a great walk down through the tea plantations.
Here are a few photos of Dhobi Village, which is the area where all the local laundry is hand washed in a small stream and then hung up to dry on long, snaking washing lines.
Here is a picture of my beautiful wife wearing her sari to an evening of entertainment by the College (very) Amateur Dramatics Society. Despite her very mature demeanour, Hazel had to stuff my hanky in her mouth to stop herself giggling at some of the acts!
